Press Release: Young Democrats of Orange County endorse the RenewFYD candidates slate for Florida Young Democrats election
The Young Democrats of Orange County endorse and call upon fellow Young Democrats around the state of Florida to vote for the RenewFYD candidates.
“We believe the RenewFYD slate has the brightest up and coming political minds in the state of Florida. Together they hope to provide support and resources for local chapters to build their membership while promoting the development of young Democrats interested in learning more about campaigns and one day running for office. They believe in focusing on municipal elections in every county and building a bench for young Democrats in Florida. Their ultimate goal is to provide much needed transparency and communication from the executive board to the local chapters.” said Michelle Stile, President of the Young Democrats of Orange County.
“A choice for RenewFYD is clear as they will strengthen and create the best opportunity for Young Democrats eager to participate and build membership for each chapter. With this renewed focus on organizational building, we can count on adding new leaders who will ensure our party’s success,” said Cliff Davy, Vice President of the Orange County Young Democrats.
The Florida Young Democrats will hold their annual convention and elections this weekend April 24-25 in South Florida.
The RenewFYD slate includes members of Young Democrats of Orange County, including Kelly Quintero, Former President of the Young Democrats of Orange County, board member for the New Leaders Council of Orlando and Communications Director for the Orange County Tax Collector. Kelly is running for Executive Vice President for the Florida Young Democrats.
“RenewFYD will focus on municipal elections in every county that will provide the opportunity for us to empower young Democrats in Florida and create the future leaders of Florida,” said Kelly Quintero.
“To prepare the next generation of Democratic leaders is at the core of our vision for the Florida Young Democrats,” said Ali Kurnaz, Former Vice President of the Young Democrats of Orange County, and RenewFYD candidate for South Central Regional Director. “It’s no secret that the Democratic Party is lacking a capable bench to secure electoral victories. We have a comprehensive plan to tackle this leadership gap.”

Promise #4: Highlight local and state issues affecting Floridians while educating and advocating in Tallahassee during FYD lobby days
